pluss mainus What services can I avail from SfASE editors?
You can avail Editing, Proofreading, Review services at Sfase. Editing service comprises of spelling, punctuation, & grammar check, reviewing and ensuring the logical flow of information. Ensuring 100% accuracy of the language of the text written in the academic documents.
pluss mainus How can I register myself as a Scholar with SfASE?
At the homepage of the website you will see ‘Join Us’ option at the top right corner. Click on the “Join Us’ option and you will see a dashboard which will indicate two choices. Then, click on the ‘Sign up’ option in the ‘I am a Scholar’ dashboard. After you click on the ‘Sign Up’ option, fill the required details and then click on the ‘Create new account’ option to register yourself. Thereafter you would receive a confirmation mail, providing details of your Username and password. Click on the link that asks for your mail id confirmation and finally would become a Registered SfASE Scholar.

SfASE membership has several benefits:
  • You need NOT depend on a terms of conditions provided by an editing company or an individual editor.
  • Only qualified and certified editors are listed on Sfase and you can be sure of the work quality.

  • You can interact with multiple editors and scholars to enhance your networking.
  • You would also get lucrative chances to upgrade your skills by attending resourceful e-workshops and webinars.
pluss mainus How credible are the Editor's at SfASE?
Every editor registered at SfASE is a SfASE certified member. SfASE certification is a test that evaluates their language proficiency skills; subject knowledge skills and editing ability. They even undergo a one- month training program to ensure that they understand the concrete requirements of the Scholars.
pluss mainus How can I brief specific requirements of my work to the editor?
After you confirm your service order with an editor, a message window will be provided for you to interact with the editor. Through this window, you will be able to provide more specific instructions to the editor.
pluss mainus If I receive additional comments on the task done by the editor, will they resolve those additional comments?
You need to understand here that editing or proofreading is a one-time service and generally revisions are not applicable. However, you can get in touch with the editor to see if he/she can accommodate your request.
pluss mainus I am worried about the confidentiality of my work. Do you provide any assurance for the same?
It is a mandatory exercise for our editors to sign a non-disclosure agreement while joining us. This would ensure and protect the confidentiality of clients' documents. Sfase guarantees that your files and documents shall be safe and secure with us and they will not be used for any commercial or non-commercial purpose.
pluss mainus How the editor will submit my work after completing the assigned tasks?
The editor will upload the document from his dashboard and this will be reflected in the Waiting/Incomplete projects folder of the project details section. Scholar will have the choice of approving or rejecting the work done. In case the scholar wants changes, specify the changes required in the chat section over messages.
pluss mainus Is SfASE responsible for the quality of the work done by the Editor?
Sfase is a not for profit organization where editors form a community, learn new editing methods and get certified. All certified editors at Sfase are tested for academic editing and proofreading skills and further trained as well.SfASE is not directly or in-directly responsible for the quality of services offered by editors, however, in case of a low quality edit delivered by a SfASE editor, an enquiry is set-up to review the facts and in case the fault is at editors end, he/she may end up losing their SfASE certification and listing.
pluss mainus How would I make payment at the SfASE to the Editor?
The mode of payment at SfASE for Editor is not specific. One may discuss regarding the cost involved for any project over messages with the editor. And make payment as per the convenience of the editor.

A person having cleared the SfASE initial test for the editors and with a proven track of scientific or academic editing is eligible to be a part of this community. In order to get continuous work flow from the scholars you must upload some samples of the assignments edited by you. It would act as a deciding factor and enhance your credibility before the scholar before assigning their tasks to you.

plus minus Do you have any test which renders us eligible to become a member of SfASE?
Yes! We do have an SfASE certification test meant for the Editors. This test will evaluate and analyze the editing ability, language proficiency and subject knowledge of the interested Editors.
plus minus How often do you hold the workshops are held?
We hold e-workshops and webinars on quarterly basis for our editors.
plus minus How these workshops will be beneficial for me?
These workshops are meant to hone editing skills of the editors. Not only this, you can also avail certification after successful completion of these workshops and add it in your profile. This would win the trust of scholars in your work and your credibility as an editor.
plus minus Do I need to make any payment for becoming member with SfASE?
No, we do not charge anything from present or potential editors. You can become a member for free to network with scholars globally.
plus minus Will I get work on a regular basis?
We do not provide guarantee of regular workflow to the editors. You will receive work by being active member of SfASE. The more you remain active on SfASE, the more work you would receive from the scholars.
plus minus What is the minimum qualification of becoming an editor with SfASE?
You need to have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in editing and proofreading. In addition, you must be an SfASE certified member which means that you need to clear a test that will qualify you to become a certified Editor. But, the decision to work with you is at the discretion of the scholar.
